Kids, dogs and people

Well if a pup is supposed to meet a hundred people in 100 days Emmi is well over target. In the two weeks since I first met her I think she is averaging about five a day. And she is up to 6 kids ranging in age from 2 to about 10. We went to the Farmer's Market this morning and she was a people magnet. One person actually knew she was a Bluetick. I had to promise a couple of the vendors to bring her back every week so they could watch her grow. It will be interesting to see how she reacts when she can actually be down and on a leash.

Then we went and had some more kid time. Emmi has her own private kid trainers and so far I would say they are a hit. I need to find some stand ins for the next couple of weeks because they are going on vacation.

I can almost run with them!

Did you have to bring the two legged ones as well as her??

She's a busy little girl

Emmi has been busy exploring the yard and following her big brother around. Plus she has gone to the bank, to watch horses and see Molly.

Life with Emmi Bleu

Davie sends his apologies, this is his blog but it is being taken over by a little sister. He really doesn't mind, it takes the camera lens off him for the most part. A week ago today Emmi and I left Shelbyville, TN for the central interior of BC. For a little puppy who has come 4200 kilometers she has adjusted amazingly well to both the cooler weather and the strange accents. She has met close to 50 different people, heard noises she has never heard before and enjoyed some real Canadian moose meat!

Here are some pictures from week 1.

Davie and Emmi Bleu

How difficult can it be to decide how to spell a name, well apparently it is. So the official spelling is Emmi. Done. Davie is the most awesome brother, the only time she got the lip was when she chomped on the tip of his ear, pulling his tail is alright. Here are some pictures from the last two days.

What?

I am sooo sweet

My big brother shares toys wif me.

That ear tip looks awfully inviting.
Sorry the last two pictures are a little fuzzy, but iPhone was the closest camera!

Operation Davie's Little Sister Successful

We arrived home on time yesterday at around 4 pm. I can not believe how easy this little girl was to travel with. We did 12 hours on the road and in the air to get from Nashville to Calgary on Monday, then another 4 hours to fly home yesterday. Davie is very happy with his little sister. He has been dropping toys for her. She can't figure out how come this big guy has such long hair. Everyone she knew has short hair!

She met about 25 people on our travels and made airline, security and customs people, I have never seen smile, break out in huge grins. Here are a sampling of pictures from our trip.

Meet Davies's Little Sister

AKA Miss Pinky, soon to be called Emmi or Bella, you think you know until you meet them. Apparently the flash annoyed her when she was pulling my laces.

-These are one of her brother and a sister

This is Snoopy, he is just the neatest dog

Trip home starts Monday, wish us luck! She fits her carryon perfect. Lots of room.

Signs of Spring

Davie and I went for a road trip to see Willow the horse. And we can assure you that spring is here. The variety of water fowl we saw was amazing. I only wish I could let you hear the sounds. Davie got to visit his buddy Nick and practice " I can pee higher than you can" as well as chase the sock ball with him. No foals yet, we were hoping. It is any day now. Here are some random pictures of the day.
Mulies

Swans, not sure what type
Tom the Turkey who convinced me ham would be better than turkey for Easter, glad I didn't meet a pig.
